Worker’s Compensation Specialist
Environmental Air Systems is looking for a dedicated
Worker’s Compensation Specialist
to manage and administer all aspects of our worker’s compensation program. The role includes coordinating claims, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining communication among employees, medical providers, insurance carriers, and internal departments.
What You’ll Do
Administer and manage all workers’ compensation claims from start to finish.
Partner with TPAs, insurance carriers, and internal departments to ensure accurate claim handling and timely resolution.
Coordinate return‑to‑work programs and monitor light‑duty assignments.
Maintain compliance with state and federal workers’ compensation laws, OSHA standards, and company policy.
Prepare and file injury and safety reports; maintain OSHA logs and required documentation.
Act as the primary point of contact for employees and supervisors on injury and claim questions.
Collaborate with Safety and HR teams to identify and address injury trends and develop prevention strategies.
Track and analyze claims data; prepare reports for leadership highlighting costs, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Risk Management, or related field (preferred).
Experience: 3–5+ years managing workers’ compensation or employee injury claims, ideally within a mid‑to‑large organization.
Knowledge: Familiarity with North Carolina workers’ compensation laws and OSHA reporting.
Skills: Strong communication, organization, and analytical abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Workers’ Compensation Professional (CWCP)
Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
Certified Claims Professional (CCP)
