Our Financial Services EY EDGE practice provides dedicated tax technical services to both U.S. and global clients. FSO EDGE State & Local Tax offers comprehensive, specialized assistance tailored to our clients’ unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
Analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights
Identifying potential opportunities and risks and communicating these to our clients
Learning and researching current market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor
Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches to improve our clients’ tax activities
Researching clients’ business operations and building long‑lasting relationships to tailor advice to their specific needs
Working with a motivated team of professionals
Building effective long‑term relationships with our clients
Maintaining reputation in the field by continuously updating and sharing technical and best‑practice knowledge
Skills & Attributes for Success To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline or a graduate degree in Tax or Law
Progress toward CPA or Enrolled Agent license
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in professional services or a professional tax organization
A thorough understanding of automated tax processing systems and laws within your area of technical professionalism
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
A commitment to continuing your learning
Ideally, you will also have
A thorough understanding of state and local partnership tax
Proficiency in Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with Return Preparation Software
Experience working in a variety of teams
Ability to adapt your work style to collaborate with both internal and client team members

What We Offer You
Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranges in the U.S. from $81,900 to $135,100 (variations by geography). Includes medical, dental, pension, 401(k) plans, and paid time off.
Hybrid work model: most client‑serving roles work in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement.
Flexible vacation policy with additional time off for EY holidays, breaks, family care, and other leaves of absence.
