9-80 Work Schedule (This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role
Work with various functional areas to determine their export/import needs; develop and implement appropriate strategies to meet business requirements; and ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies
Provide guidance and interpretation of US government regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Regulations (ATF)
Perform review of program contractual statements of work to assist in the development of the work scope for export/import authorization(s)
Prepare necessary export/import authorization requests required to support business objectives
Perform post approval activities to include recordkeeping and reporting requirements
Conduct export/import training and provide formal and informal communication/guidance to internal customers regarding conditions of export and import authorizations
Prepare and present export and import internal control plans and proviso reviews
Assist in the development and implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures, such as internal control plans for approved authorizations
Perform compliance assessments of license and agreement files and assist as necessary in the investigation of potential non-compliances
Support the implementation of corrective actions that result from export/import self-assessments, formal audits and non-compliances
Present in meetings, training environments and respond to questions from various organizational functions related to export/import compliance.
Review and approve foreign visit requests
Qualifications Sought
Bachelors Degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Economics, Political Science or related discipline.
Minimum 1 to 3 years related experience in a business environment
Knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), BATFE and other US Government Regulations
Ability to prioritize and organize workload in a busy environment
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
Excellent organizational, analytical and multi-tasking skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills (ability to deliver information to all levels of the organization)
Demonstrated strength in MS Office applications
Ability to travel (5% U.S.) and (5% Canada) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).
Additional Information / Desired Experience
Previous Defense Industry Experience
Experience assessing the applicability of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions
Proficient in the use of the OCR EASE Software
Experienced and comfortable providing training in person or via virtual methods
Strong ability to work independently as well as with teams
Strong collaboration and team building skills
Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers
Strong commitment to integrity and professionalism
