Position Summary The Compliance Specialist is responsible for auditing motor carrier contractor documentation and processes. The role requires competent communication and documentation skills regarding ongoing auditing procedures and project management. The position maintains and improves the company’s image by ensuring compliance with our standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Review all required documentation provided for the onboarding and maintenance of motor carrier contractors’ compliance.

Follow up internally and externally when needed to ensure timely and seamless compliance with company policies and procedures.

Manage all communication regarding motor carrier compliance with current contractors, local operation leadership, and corporate team members.

Support other team members in projects to help develop, improve, and implement processes impacting the company.

Provide documentation and accountability for incidents and occurrences that may impact the company liability.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Exceptional discretion, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with senior management.

Advanced attention to detail.

Advanced ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment.

Competent in MS Outlook and Excel.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Basic understanding of compliance SOPs for auditing processes.

Novice understanding of 3PL last-mile delivery industry and insurance market.

Novice understanding of USDOT FMCSA regulations and requirements.

Novice familiarity with Riverstone contract carrier requirements.

Physical Demands The role requires walking and standing for long periods, communicating effectively with coworkers and external stakeholders in person, on the phone, and via email or other computer-related messaging. The employee may need to maneuver around work areas, move or manipulate objects, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The position may require extended work hours and travel.
