Summary We’re recruiting for a Sales Engineer to provide pre‑sales and post‑sales support across all Channel Exchange/ScanSource technology stacks with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. You’ll be highly motivated, demonstrating an optimistic approach to the role with a burning desire to continuously learn and develop yourself.

Responsibilities

Design and delivery of Azure technical enablement programs, Microsoft Modern Work, etc.

Reporting back to the business on key results including contributing to QBRs and business reviews.

Provide world‑class customer engagement ensuring a consistent customer journey throughout the pre‑sales process.

Host and deliver technical workshops, internally and externally, including events, webinars and video content.

Work closely with the sales team to identify, manage and successfully close opportunities, ensuring time is managed effectively on business‑critical opportunities.

Scope and consult on Azure best practice, advising on solution development, migrations and partner enablement.

Dedicate at least 10% of your time to training and development opportunities.

Stay ahead of technical and strategic developments within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem by building an extensive network within Microsoft and other professional groups.

Provide 1st and 2nd tier support to partners and customers of Channel Exchange.

Manage and own support tickets through to resolution – a cradle‑to‑grave ticketing approach.

Work with the wider business to deliver business goals and objectives, including supporting sales and marketing in a technical capacity.

Reporting Relationships

Report directly to Technical Operations, Manager

Requirements

At least 5 years’ experience in a highly consultative pre‑sales role.

Technical mindset and a proven demonstrable track record in delivering technical value on projects.

Deep knowledge and ability to clearly articulate the technical and commercial benefits of cloud infrastructure.

Acquire and maintain relevant certifications, including but not limited to Microsoft.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.

Ability to be physically present at the workstation in the designated company office during normal business hours.

Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Compensation Compensation Range: $110,000–$135,000 annually. The actual annual salary offered will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.

Outside of CA, ScanSource grants 128 hours of paid time off (PTO) each calendar year (prorated for date of hire). In CA, employees accrue a set number of hours each pay period equivalent to 128 hours of PTO. ScanSource also celebrates 10 paid company holidays.
