Electrical Contractor is looking for an experienced estimator to join our team.

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, particularly in electrical projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with project management teams to ensure successful project execution. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the bidding process and must be adept at negotiating contracts while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, bid documents and other relevant documents to identify what is needed to create an accurate bid proposal.
Perform accurate take-offs based on the plans and drawings.
Attend site visits and walk-throughs as required.
Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop competitive pricing strategies.
Solicit material/equipment quotes from vendors.
Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations throughout the estimating process.
Prepare all necessary bid documents such as submittals, RFIs, scope of work, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years experience in construction estimating, with a focus on electrical projects preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly ConEst or similar tools.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and clients.
Familiarity with NEC regulations and standards applicable to electrical installations.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in price calculations and contract terms.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
