Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis.
PE registration in South Dakota or the ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
8+ years of experience in mechanical design within the construction industry.
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit.
Experience with HVAC load design software.
Knowledge of building, energy, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and use time productively to maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and values.
Ability to demand the highest standard of ethical conduct from self and others.
Ability to travel as needed for projects.
Responsibilities
Lead mechanical design including HVAC and plumbing from schematic design through construction administration.
Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into the building design.
Conduct load calculations and energy efficiency assessments to optimize system performance and to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Review and analyze project requirements, proposals, and technical reports.
Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations to ensure innovative and sustainable design solutions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
