JOB SUMMARY MSKTD is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 2-7 years of experience designing facilities for higher ed, commercial, healthcare, and industrial, or similar related experience, to work closely with Project Architects/Managers/Engineers in developing project designs and documentation. This is a full-time position with an immediate start date.
Candidate must be able to show initiative, carry basic concepts and ideas to completion with minimal direction and guidance. Individual can work efficiently and productively in a team-based organization. Additionally, site observation responsibilities, a working knowledge of engineering software, spreadsheets, word processing software and Adobe products is a plus. Experience with Revit BIM is required.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Project due diligence, field work, and documentation of facilities
Preliminary layout and conceptual design
Coordination with architectural and other engineering disciplines
Construction document production and coordination
Shop drawing/submittal review
HVAC load calculation and Mechanical System design
Plumbing and Sprinkler System design
REQUIREMENTS
Punctual, Responsible, and Dedicated
Experience and proficiency with Revit is required
Familiarity with the IMC and similar model codes
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Willingness to work and put in additional time when project deadlines require the effort
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology degree
The degree is from an ABET accredited university for engineering.
An FE/EIT License or PE License from any US State is a plus.
2+ years of general accounting experience
