Position Overview As part of the talented global tax team, you will play a lead role in sales and use tax audit support while also providing support across all areas of tax. This position offers exposure to federal, state and U.S. international income tax compliance and provision processes, as well as indirect tax matters throughout the Americas.
Essential Functions
Assist with federal, state and U.S. international income tax compliance and quarterly provision processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Partner with business segment finance leads on sales and use tax matters to respond to tax auditors, and resolve issues, while collaborating with outsourced tax service providers to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant corporate tax filings.
Conduct research on complex indirect tax issues, including nexus, taxability, and exemption strategies, to support Brunswick’s operational decisions and promote consistent, efficient, and compliant tax practices throughout the organization.
Contribute to tax-related research, data analysis, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.
Monitor tax law changes and effectively communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders.
Support special assignments aligned with departmental goals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2‑4 years of relevant tax experience.
Strong understanding of tax concepts and ability to research complex issues.
Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional attention to detail with a drive for continuous improvement; organizational skills to balance multiple tax projects across the full spectrum of tax, including income and indirect tax.
Preferred Qualifications
Sales and use tax experience.
Familiarity with PowerBI, Alteryx and other data analytic tools.
CorpTax and Oracle experience a plus.
Working Conditions
This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office at the Brunswick Corporate headquarters in Mettawa, IL).
Compensation The anticipated pay range for this position is $65,000‑104,300 annually. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
