Job Description We are seeking a highly qualified

Biotech / Biopharma Equity Analyst

to join our growing and entrepreneurial team. The analyst will focus on therapeutics subsectors (biotech and pharmaceuticals), spanning across market capitalizations and development stages. The role is based in our Miami office, with potential hybrid work flexibility.

The analyst will conduct rigorous fundamental research to develop investment theses and identify compelling opportunities — primarily in the public equity space, with selective exposure to early-stage private investments. The analyst will work closely and collaboratively with the CIO (an MD/MBA) and our team of seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

Conduct deep-dive due diligence and primary research on both new and existing healthcare investments

Make highly informed investment recommendations on companies, scientific advances, and industry trends

Analyze and interpret a wide range of information — including clinical and preclinical data, scientific literature, and diverse expert views — to form independent views

Build and maintain financial models and valuation frameworks

Initiate and maintain relationships with C-level management teams and industry experts

Attend industry and scientific conferences

Conduct KOL and physician interviews

Author investment memos and present investment conclusions

Qualifications

Outstanding academic credentials; an MD or PhD is strongly preferred

3+ years of experience in buy-side / sell-side equity research, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, consulting, or the healthcare industry

Strong financial modeling and valuation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated history of exceptional learning aptitude and professional accomplishments

Ability to synthesize complex information and apply first-principles thinking

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage effectively with senior company management

High standards of integrity and ethics

Passion for investing

High attention to detail

Self-starter and team player

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to our investment process.

Location Miami, FL office based, with potential hybrid work flexibility

Compensation Highly competitive and commensurate with experience
