As an HR Specialist, you will perform a wide variety of human resource activities tied to the employee life cycle. You’ll collaborate with leaders to streamline workflows, conduct audits, and deliver reports while supporting employee engagement and onboarding initiatives. Essential Functions of the Job
Leave Administration:
Serve as point of contact for workers compensation claims, support leave of absence requests, assist employees with benefits inquiries, manage unemployment claims. Data & Report Management:
Extract data from various systems and create regular reports, conduct periodic audits of HR files, process employee changes such as internal movements and terminations. Ensuring Compliance:
Collaborate with MRO for post-accident and pre-employment screening, ensure timely processing of I‑9 reverification, maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of HR trends and regulatory changes, maintain compliance with employment laws. General HR Support:
Provide employee support for FAQs, assist with internal communications and recognition programs, support new hire orientation, support payroll processing and daily timekeeping inquiries, perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
2+ years of related Human Resources experience, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing facility. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS (e.g., Dayforce and SharePoint). Strong knowledge of current employment‑related laws and regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Must be flexible and adaptive to respond to a fast‑paced environment proactively. The annual base salary range for this position is $26.56‑$29.60. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
