Advisor Database Administrator

Responsibilities
Participate in client/project meetings for needs assessment and design review.
Analyze user needs, develop technical, structural, and organizational specifications (access methods, job control, security, etc.).
Design, develop, implement, and maintain moderately complex databases for internal and external users.
Create, document, and implement standards and models to monitor and enhance database capacity and performance.
Develop data import/export routines to automate data loading.
Build Windows screens and reports.
Analyze complex applications prior to production release.
Develop backup, recovery, data archive, and purge procedures.
Produce supporting technical documentation.
Research emerging technologies and tools for applicability to the field.
Prepare reports and recommendations on new or changing processes/products.
Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel.
Qualifications
8+ years of Database Engineering, Design, and Development experience.
Proficiency with SQL Server (AOAG), PostgreSQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and EC2.
Experience in multi‑tenant environments and database development methodologies.
Skilled in Windows development languages, scripting (PowerShell, SQL performance tuning), and monitoring tools (SolarWinds DPA, SQL Query Store).
PostgreSQL scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) for automating DBA tasks.
Experience with Postgres monitoring tools such as pgAdmin, Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch.

United States remote opportunity.
Video cameras required during all interviews and the initial week of orientation.
