Role Specific Introduction We are seeking an experienced Senior BIM Specialist to lead our BIM operations and mentor our engineering and design practice. As a Senior BIM Specialist, you'll drive BIM strategy, establish standards, and provide expert‑level support across complex, multi‑discipline projects. You'll serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert, guiding project teams through sophisticated modeling challenges and optimizing workflows for maximum efficiency. You'll collaborate closely with IT, Communications, Security, Audio‑Visual, Mechanical, Plumbing & Electrical disciplines, external BIM leaders, and senior leadership to advance our BIM capabilities. This candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and as a strategic partner to technical design teams of engineers and designers. Projects range from single‑site buildings to multi‑building campus renovations and green‑field construction.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the set‑up, configuration, and management of complex Revit and AutoCAD projects using client‑provided standards, maintaining ownership and oversight through the entire project lifecycle.

Lead and facilitate BIM coordination meetings with external consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, serving as the primary technical authority.

Develop, implement, and enforce company and discipline standards, LOD requirements, general drafting standards, and best practices for construction documents and BIM across all projects.

Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for Revit, AutoCAD, and related BIM platforms.

Demonstrate expertise in Navisworks, Revizto, Blue Beam, Dynamo, and other BIM‑related software, evaluating and integrating new technologies as needed.

Develop, modify, and maintain sophisticated BIM content libraries and assets using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring alignment with client standards and strategic objectives.

Independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, coordinating deadlines and deliverables across various markets, disciplines, and project managers.

Mentor and train junior BIM staff, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.

Lead the integration of AI support tools and automation solutions to enhance productivity and innovation.

Contribute to strategic planning for BIM operations and technology adoption.

Develop comprehensive training materials, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.

Lead research and development initiatives related to emerging BIM technologies, hardware, software, and production workflows.

Participate in quality assurance reviews and provide recommendations for process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

6‑10+ years of progressive BIM experience.

Demonstrated expertise, through resume and portfolio, in the production and management of complex construction documents across multiple project types, including site plans, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, and comprehensive equipment schedules.

Extensive experience coordinating multiple disciplines, including Low Voltage, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.

Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office products.

Expert‑level skills in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks.

Strong working knowledge of Dynamo, Python, or Grasshopper, and practical understanding of the Revit API.

Proven experience leading BIM coordination efforts on large‑scale, multi‑discipline projects.

Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.

Track record of implementing BIM standards and driving process improvements.
