Rising Futures Young Parent Living Program
(Formally known as the Teen Parenting Program) is a DCF and DTA funded residential program for teen parents who are pregnant and/or parenting. We provide apartment style living in a staff supported environment. The YPLP offers services including independent living and parenting skill groups, education and job search support, day care and medical referrals, housing search and aftercare support.
Schedule:
This is a full‑time position, Sunday – Wednesday, 2nd shifts and one 1st shift during the week.
The ideal candidate must be a team player, be safety conscious, have excellent boundaries, & excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is
$19.00
to
$25.00
per
hour.
The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with educational groups and parenting groups.
Work as liaison with Horizons for Homeless children/our volunteers and fulfill their requirements.
Babysit children twice weekly during group hours with our volunteers.
Check in with and assist clients when needed throughout the shift with independent living skills, parenting skills, and other needed issues.
Transport to daycare, shopping, and appointments.
Administer medications to clients and children.
Document all client interaction.

Requirements:
Must be 21 years or older.
High School Diploma or above (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Active Driver’s License.
Candidates should have excellent organization and communication skills.
Candidates with previous work experience with adolescents in a residential or inpatient setting are preferred.
Background and driving record checks will be performed.
