Job Summary We are looking for a personable and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplined design team! The position will be within our Charleston office, assisting in the Infrastructure division. This individual must be very familiar with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations. If you think this might be a good fit for you, keep reading and apply!
General Duties
Supervise projects to ensure they meet commitments related to time, quality, and communication. Work directly with clients to establish project schedules and set expectations.
Assist market segment manager and team leader in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
Collaborate and assist with training/mentoring of mechanical engineering staff in the execution of specific projects to meet schedules and timely completion of projects.
Assist market segment manager and team leader in maintaining client base through various business development efforts.
Visits construction site to monitor progress and other duties per contract documents.
Assists in review of mechanical technical work for accuracy.
Ability to work well independently and as part of an experienced team.
Deal directly with clients/owners to assist with determining specific project needs.
Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects.
Qualifications
P.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience and detailed understanding of Revit is a plus
4+ years of design/engineering consulting experience required
Travel 10-15%
