Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
Key responsibilities include:
Role model for Patient Satisfaction effort, demonstrating AIDET principles when interacting with customers.
Perform patient evaluations appropriately and coordinate with the physician to establish reasonable treatment plans.
Demonstrate competency in the use of equipment, implementing age-appropriate safeguards.
Perform patient procedures and treatments, implementing age-appropriate safeguards.
Update treatment/rehab program, goals, and objectives in collaboration with team members.
Promote the discharge planning process.
Requirements
High School Graduate or GED
Physical Therapist licensed in CA
AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
Where You'll Work Dignity Health – St. Bernardine Medical Center is a 342‑bed acute care nonprofit hospital located in San Bernardino, California. The hospital offers a full complement of services, including an award‑winning orthopedics program and a Neurovascular Stroke Center.
Salary Range $53.72 – $63.86 per hour
