This is a 90‑day temporary assignment with the intention of transitioning into a full‑time staff role at the end of the assignment, based on performance and unit needs.
Responsibilities
Provide safe, continuous, high‑quality patient care in a variety of settings.
Be temporarily assigned to one unit for a designated number of weeks based on system needs.
Work at any Novant Health location as required.
Successfully complete required competency testing and skill validations (cardiac dysrhythmia test, NIH Stroke Scale certification, etc.).
Qualifications
Minimum two years of experience in NICU, PICU, or Pediatric service line.
Education: 2‑Year Associate Degree in nursing required; 4‑Year Bachelor’s preferred.
One year consecutive experience within defined specialty preferred.
Current compact licensure in appropriate state required; specialty certification preferred.
Customer service, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, computer literacy, and age‑specific care skills.
Cardiac dysrhythmia test or course within 3 months of hire; NIH Stroke Scale certification upon hire.
Specialty specific certifications as applicable (CPI, Breastfeeding course, fetal monitoring, etc.).
