Job Description Performance Analytics Role:
To have a PhD in the NCREIF and MSCI indexes:
Fully articulate index performance drivers, including shifts in sector/subsector, market composition and operational analytics
Identify and interpret industry/competitor trends based on changes in the composition of the index
Create and maintain ODCE ranking analysis and trends based on latest and prior reporting
Utilize Non-Traded REIT data to gain off quarter indicators of performance in the real estate space
To have a PhD in IRE performance:
Provide a broad analytical knowledge of fund-level, sector/subsector, and geographic performance with the ability to identify and disaggregate key drivers (positive and negative)
Communicate timely and actionable insights to CIOC and PM teams targeted at improving understanding and ultimately fund/IRE performance
Aggregate historical data from IRE track record and appraisals to create meaningful time-series data across strategies.
Develop and maintain innovative analytical tools:
Creation of analytical and reporting tools that fully execute the firm’s broader data strategy with considerations on a global approach
BI desktop tools that allow the business to access historical performance data, including the ability to look at IRE historical performance by fund, sector/subsector, and geography and compare to benchmark(s)
Develop efficient tools that allow IRE to slice data by KPI’s or sector specific metrics to gain better understanding of key drivers
Work closely with NASA team to develop predictive performance analytics
Assist in communication and awareness of benchmark and IRE performance across organization:
Report regularly to CIOC
Provide updates to senior management on a regular cadence
Develop a business-wide quarterly communication tool for performance analytics
Meet with PM’s to discuss portfolio level insights on key performance drivers.
