This is a full time, 40 hour/week position working at our Crisis Residential Unit in Dothan, Alabama. Tuesday-Saturday 12pm-8pm.
Responsibilities
Providing peer support services in a mental health setting.
Working directly with consumers in the Crisis Residential Unit to promote wellness from mental illness disease
Facilitating peer support groups / self-help groups
Travel may be required
Requirements
HS Diploma/GED
Must have personally experienced mental illness, must be in recovery.
Must successfully complete Certified Peer Specialist training and exam upon hire.
Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age).
Preferred Qualifications/Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work or related field.
Previously completed Certified Peer Specialist training and exam with ADMH.
