Role Description

The Staff Radiologic Technologist - Operating Room (O.R.) is a full-time, on-site role located in Tampa, FL. This role will be responsible for conducting high-quality radiographic imaging for surgical and interventional procedures in the operating room while ensuring patient safety and adherence to departmental protocols. The technologist will collaborate with surgeons and surgical staff, maintain the operational readiness of imaging equipment, and ensure proper patient positioning for imaging procedures. Additionally, this position requires timely documentation of processes, following infection control measures, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Knowledge and proficiency in Radiographic Imaging and operating room procedures

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary medical teams

Understanding of patient safety procedures and infection control standards

Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiographic equipment

Certifications such as ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and a current state radiologic technologist license

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Previous experience in a surgical or acute care environment preferred

Strong attention to detail and competency with accurate documentation
