We’re looking for a mobile phlebotomist to collect blood samples at homes, workplaces, and other field locations. This role requires someone who’s organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently. You should be able to drive to scheduled appointments, provide a professional experience, and follow all safety and documentation procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Travel to patient locations using a dependable personal vehicle.
Collect blood samples through venipuncture, finger sticks, or heel sticks.
Verify patient identity and confirm test orders before collecting samples.
Label specimens accurately and document all information in the system.
Prepare and transport specimens in accordance with company and lab requirements.
Maintain a clean, fully stocked mobile kit.
Communicate clearly with patients and provide a calm, supportive experience.
Follow infection-control and safety protocols at every visit.
Report issues such as specimen problems, delays, or equipment concerns.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.
Current phlebotomy certification (ASCP, NHA, or state-specific certification).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
Ability to pass a drug test and background screening.
Strong attention to detail and steady hand skills.
Comfort working independently and managing a daily route.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry equipment as needed.
Preferred Experience
Prior mobile phlebotomy or field medical experience.
Experience with electronic medical records or mobile documentation tools.
Ability to work with a wide range of patients, including older adults and children.
Schedule and Work Environment
Details: travel radius 30 to 50 miles, shift expectations, mileage reimbursement, weekend availability.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: $32 per hour, and performance bonuses.
