As a Respiratory Therapist you will be responsible for the set‑up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high‑tech ventilation, oxygen, and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment. This is a field‑based, hands‑on respiratory therapist/leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a respiratory caregiver, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. This responsibility extends to a 24‑hour basis in coordination with the department Manager and the 24‑hour/7‑day nature of the care PromptCare provides.
Job Type: Non‑Exempt, Full‑Time, 40 hours per week, Mon‑Fri with on‑call responsibilities.
Location: Manchester and Concord, New Hampshire.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory School.
Current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state of employment and in good standing.
Willing to get cross‑licensed in other states at the company’s expense.
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist (home‑care setting highly desirable).
RRT certification required.
Current CPR‑BLS certification required.
Adequate PC skills to use e‑mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding services to ensure complete satisfaction.
Initiates and develops good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources.
Plans daily events to maximize efficiency, minimizing travel time by planning routes ahead of time.
Assists with proper scheduling of set‑ups and follow‑up visits according to company policies and standards.
Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges.
Triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and training policies.
Ensures proper documentation of patient concerns and takes appropriate corrective actions.
Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare’s SOPs and applies them consistently.
Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times.
Fosters a culture of “white glove” service to patients and families.
Submits expense reports for travel monthly in a timely manner.
On‑call responsibilities as needed.
Physical Demands: The position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, climbing, maneuvering in small areas, and frequently lifting and/or moving 30 pounds or more.
