Job Summary The Senior Card Operations Specialist helps manage relationships with members, vendors, and partners, ensuring that performance standards are met and contracts are adhered to. The role performs necessary maintenance and functions to support positive credit, debit, and online banking experiences. It assists the Manager, Card Services in monitoring credit and debit card portfolios, helps ensure seamless execution of card‑related projects, and addresses operational challenges as needed. The position also helps manage day‑to‑day operations, optimizes processes and procedures to enhance workflow, improves service delivery, and supports compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, the role is responsible for accounting entries of products as needed and explains and promotes all card products and services.

Participates in card‑related projects, and contributes insight during the coordination of new technologies with applicable internal departments as assigned by the Card Services Manager

Owns the accuracy and integrity of card portfolio data; reviews daily reporting and performs file maintenance to ensure accuracy of card portfolio data

Administers and governs user profile controls for debit/credit card systems and related programs, ensuring compliance and security standards

Maintains and updates departmental procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current operational practices

Supports team development by assisting with card‑related training sessions and contributing to training materials that strengthen team capability

Analyzes and improves card operations processes and workflows to drive efficiency, minimize risk, and enhance the member experience

Partners with the Card Services Manager with product and department audits to help address procedural errors, identify possible gaps, determine solutions, and provide responses

Generates and interprets monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting from the card system for leadership and internal stakeholders, management, providing actionable insights

Serves as a subject matter expert on core applications and card‑related enhancements; actively offers feedback and recommendations

Oversees inventory management for plastic (card) stock and inserts, ensuring timely fulfillment and operational continuity

Delivers peer and specialized support on higher‑complexity operational tasks to ensure continuity, accuracy, and effective resolution on complex member issues

Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

High school diploma or equivalent

3+ years of similar experience in a banking environment

2+ years of previous experience working with debit and credit card products

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of related experience

2+ years of previous experience in project management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) A representation of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.

Knowledge of debit and credit card products, systems, and common card‑related processes

Skilled in problem‑solving and using sound judgment to resolve issues and improve processes

Skilled in communicating clearly—both in writing and in conversation—to support effective collaboration with members, peers, and partners

Skilled in working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and following through with minimal supervision

Skilled in organizing work, managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to build positive working relationships and interact with courtesy, professionalism, and respect

Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing day‑to‑day responsibilities

Flexible remote or hybrid (combination of remote & onsite) work environment; requires regular use of online tools, systems, and collaboration platforms
