Job Overview Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team at Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN! This is a casual position that will work as needed by the department. There are day/evening/night/weekend shifts available, and the role includes 2 rotating holidays per year. Shifts range from 4‑12 hours.
Compensation:
If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 3pm – 11pm, you will receive an additional $6.00 per hour, on top of your base rate and shift differentials.
If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 11pm – 7am, you will receive an additional $8.00 per hour, on top of your base rate and shift differentials.
The Hospital Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high‑quality diagnostic imaging in a hospital setting. The responsibilities include supporting all imaging procedures, surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable X‑ray, and general X‑ray performed in the hospital, as well as assisting with the opening of supplies and equipment for surgical and special procedure cases and responding to codes, trauma activations, and other emergent imaging needs in an acute‑care environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain patient care and safety during all imaging procedures.
Perform examinations and acquire diagnostic images.
Identify relevant data from images accurately.
Communicate pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health‑care professional.
Verify patient identification and documentation prior to exams.
Communicate with and educate patients regarding pertinent information throughout all aspects of the exam.
Achieve quality diagnostic images by correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
Required Qualifications
ARRT certification or registration.
Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. or B.A. degree.
Three (3) years of experience as a technologist in a hospital setting.
