PRN Cat Scan Radiographer – Woodbury Heights
Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System seeks a PRN CT technologist to perform cross‑sectional imaging procedures, assist radiologists, and maintain safety and quality standards. The position is part‑time with scheduling determined by departmental need.
Responsibilities
Review imaging orders to determine exam type, clinical history, and required views before imaging.
Operate CT equipment with proper technique and patient positioning; prepare and use contrast injector, troubleshoot scanner, and ensure high‑quality images.
Greet patients, confirm identities, and explain procedures; maintain accurate documentation and coding for billing.
Perform quality assurance testing consistent with departmental protocols.
Operate RIS and PACs systems throughout workflow.
Maintain inventory supplies, rotate stock, and eliminate outdated items.
Assist in clinical education of students as appropriate.
Monitor patient status, tolerance, and well‑being during and after the study.
Respond to emergency situations following departmental policies.
Report results of studies per radiologist and department policy.
Qualifications
ARRT certification and registered in CT (required).
Current, valid CPR certification.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Completion of an approved radiology technology program.
Continuing education credits as required by ARRT.
