Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including food storage areas and kitchen equipment.
Collaborate with dietitians to understand patient dietary needs and preferences.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding dietary options and restrictions.
Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance knowledge and skills related to dietary services.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a dietary or food service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Understanding of basic nutrition principles and dietary restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in food safety and sanitation.
