JOB SUMMARY The

Field Service Representative

primarily executes job‑specific assignments for integrated products manufactured and tested at Freeman Enclosure Systems, LLC. Work occurs either at the customer site or at the Batavia plant, supporting meeting job‑specific demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess project resource needs and coordinate assignments with personnel or subcontractors. Communicate core technical requirements and ensure work tasks are understood with full knowledge of instructions and tools.

Support the Field Services Manager and Service Leads on planning and organizing job assignments to ensure the most effective return on assets.

Support plans and processes that minimize project costs through effective utilization of equipment, facilities, and materials. Attain business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards exceed customer expectations.

Execute assignments from start to finish in compliance with company standard practices and procedures.

Work at the Freeman facility with assigned departments to complete enclosures scheduled to ship. Assignments are time‑based when no travel is required.

Review and acknowledge proper project handoff from Field or Plant supervisor.

Participate in job preparation meetings to discuss scope, specifications, budgets, schedules, and safety requirements with the project team.

Communicate actively across departments to coordinate activities. Review task‑related engineering documentation and update administration for follow‑up using Office 365 Teams, Planner, and Outlook.

Ensure timely and accurate time and expense reporting daily.

Expedite and resolve issues regarding material and equipment availability.

Contain material, equipment, and vehicle costs by eliminating wasteful practices and implementing appropriate control measures. Compile and maintain inventory records of quantity, type, and value of returned materials or supplies.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Support performance evaluations, identify training needs, and recommend effective action plans for meeting performance expectations.

Communicate regularly with the Field Service Manager regarding staffing needs, objectives, issues, and open projects.

Schedule maintenance for the vehicle and advise in advance to coordinate payment.

Perform onsite startup checks and verification related to integrated products manufactured and tested at Freeman Enclosure Systems, LLC.

Perform onsite troubleshooting and enclosure and tank‑related activities related to the integrated products manufactured and tested at Freeman Enclosure Systems, LLC.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Light physical demands: communicate orally, hear at a conversational level, and perform job tasks requiring the use of a telephone, fax, and computer. Keying functions, grasp, pin, and write are required. Employee must perform keying functions, sit, walk, stand, bend, twist, reach, lift/carry, and push/pull as described in the job specification. Infrequent activities up to 21–50 pounds are expected.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Concrete, tile, or wood flooring. Temperature variations between 20–100 °F. Safety equipment includes safety shoes, glasses, hard hat, and other job‑specific personal protective equipment. Noise level varies from low to high; hearing protection may be required. Travel requirements include driving day/night and flying in an airplane; travel demands range from 60% to 90% of the workday.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: A minimum of five years field‑related experience. Well‑developed organizational skills and strong interpersonal skills are required for interacting with management, technical support staff, suppliers, and customers.

Safety: Knowledge of OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, First Aid, and CPR certifications.

Reasoning Development: Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

Mathematical Development: Ability to add, subtract, and divide all units of measure.

Language Development: Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules, and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English.

Education: College preferred, high school diploma required.

Licensures and Certifications: Not required.

Training: Willing to perform work at Freeman Enclosures Systems, LLC for up to four weeks to receive hands‑on training specific to enclosure and tank related systems that will require startup and commissioning checks and verifications onsite.

Travel: Assignments range from 1 day to 2 weeks onsite without a return trip home. Must accommodate flexible scheduling. Projects can be located anywhere in the United States.

Valid driver’s license.

Background check and drug testing required for employment.
