Boston Legacy FC (the “Club”) is Boston’s new professional women’s soccer team, set to begin play in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2026. We are dedicated to building a championship-caliber organization on and off the pitch, and we are looking for entrepreneurial team members who want to be part of something extraordinary.

Role Boston Legacy FC is seeking a Part-Time Sports Massage Therapist to join our integrated High Performance Team and support the day-to-day recovery, treatment, and performance needs of our professional women’s soccer athletes. This role is an essential contributor to a collaborative medical and performance environment, working seamlessly alongside the Head Athletic Trainer and broader Performance & Medical staff to deliver individualized, athlete-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver sports massage and manual therapy interventions to support athlete recovery, injury risk reduction, and performance readiness.

Coordinate care closely with the Head Athletic Trainer and the broader Performance & Medical team to ensure treatments align with individual rehabilitation, recovery, and performance plans.

Provide on-site treatment support during training sessions and match days, with availability for team travel as needed (including domestic and occasional international travel).

Adjust treatment strategies based on individual athlete needs, training loads, match congestion, and competition demands.

Prepare, organize, and maintain treatment spaces, ensuring proper sanitation, equipment care, and adherence to professional standards.

Document all treatments accurately and communicate relevant findings or athlete feedback to appropriate members of the Performance & Medical staff.

Uphold strict confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards in all interactions with athletes and staff.

Schedule & Travel

Part-time role with hours varying based on training schedules, matches, and travel (approximately 20–30 hours per week).

Required to travel with the team for away matches, preseason camps, and other team travel as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Current licensure as a Massage Therapist in the state of Massachusetts (or ability to obtain).

Additional certifications or training in sports massage, athletic populations, or manual therapy strongly preferred.

Experience working with elite, collegiate, or professional athletes preferred.

Strong understanding of anatomy, soft tissue techniques, and recovery protocols.

Ability to work evenings, weekends and non-traditional hours as required by team schedules.

Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-performance team environment.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual therapy techniques.

Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.

Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours during game day and associated travel.
