Leave of Absence Specialist
Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) in Naples, Florida, is seeking an experienced
leave of absence specialist
to support employees through the administration of job‑protected and non‑job‑protected leaves. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations while providing consistent, high‑quality support to employees and leaders across the organization.
In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for leave programs and work closely with human resources, payroll, benefits and leadership teams to ensure accurate and timely leave administration.
Key Responsibilities
Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, state‑specific leaves and organizational policies
Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leaders throughout the leave process
Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations
Maintain accurate documentation, tracking and reporting within HR systems
Coordinate leave information with payroll and benefits to ensure proper processing
Provide guidance and education to employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures
Identify opportunities to improve leave administration processes and documentation
In addition to strong attention to detail, sound judgment and the ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion, ideal candidates will have:
Prior experience administering leave of absence programs in a healthcare or multi‑state environment preferred
Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA and related employment regulations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy, organization and time management
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
