Based in Manassas, VA, you will be working alongside a dynamic team of Oracle DBA experts.
Your team is fully responsible for the design, optimization and operations of the database environment.
This DevOps team engages in the product evolution; covering software architecture, development, quality assurance, security, operations and IT infrastructure aspects.You will work in a truly international environment with main hubs across three continents. We have global reach and impact but operate fast as we are a relatively small company.As a driving force of technological change, we operate in a true agile way. If you’ve got what it takes we will have a role for your level of expertise.**What to expect in this role:*** Organize and control day-to-day database administration/ management activities to include:Database health data collection and analysis, database access and performance analysis.* Resolve complex problems by investigating and devising solutions for database operations. May include installations, configuration, tuning and maintenance of database management.* Interact with network services, database/software systems engineering and /or applications development in order to restore availability of services and/or identify root cause of complex problems.* Define and implement recommendations for complex issues in the area of database management systems.* Opportunity to develop yourself and others in a true DevOps agile environment.*Professional skills & competencies** Autonomous, driven, with strong ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.* Customer oriented and quality mindset – we continually strive to deliver true customer value.* Open-minded, solutions oriented, and a true team player – gaining energy through collaboration with others.* Fluent in English (spoken and written).*Technical skills & knowledge** Requires 5-7 years of experience in a technical operational support area* Experience working with the following:
+ Worked on Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 12.1, 12.2 and 19c. Partitioning and multi-tenancy options
+ Exadata engineered systems and DBs hosted on RHEL systems
+ DataGuard for Disaster Recovery (DR),
+ GoldenGate for data replication
+ Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
+ Database Vault for stricter access control
+ Advanced analytics including Oracle R* Knowledge of any of these CICD technology:Jenkins, Ansible, Docker* Good knowledge of IT security, mainly in the DBA area**Education**University degree in computer science or related field.
