Property Maintenance Technician – InTown Suites
InTown Suites is seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to ensure the daily upkeep of one of our hotel properties. The Technician will live on property, be on call for emergencies, and also serve as a Property Attendant one or two days a week as directed by management. Responsibilities
Maintain building and grounds cleanliness, including trash removal, siding, and walkways. Ensure vacant rooms are in repair, covering walls, appliances, furniture, carpet, and cabinets. Conduct maintenance room punch: drywall repairs, paint, general repairs, and carpet shampooing. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of guest rooms. Respond to service requests in a timely manner. Handle all emergency calls promptly. Maintain interior hallway carpets. Report safety or security violations immediately to Supervisor. Report guest concerns to Supervisor. Reconcile daily paperwork with Supervisor before end of shift. Perform tasks outlined in the Property Attendant Job Description, Guest Agreement, and Property Maintenance Technician Resident and On-Call Agreements. Perform other assigned tasks as directed. Skills & Experience
Proficient in English (reading, speaking, writing). Effective written and verbal communication skills. Organized, self-directed, and able to work with limited supervision. Capable of managing multiple activities under stressful conditions. Knowledge of air conditioning systems and equipment – installation, maintenance, and repair. General maintenance repair skills, including troubleshooting equipment and interpreting manufacturer instructions. Electrical systems knowledge – proper wiring, fuse sizes, and color identification. Proficiency with hand and power tools and calibration equipment for air, water, and control. Mental & Physical Demands
Work on uneven surfaces in hot, cold, and wet conditions; climb and stand on ladders up to ~30 feet. Indoor work on carpeted surfaces and outdoor work on concrete surfaces with exposure to extreme weather. Work long hours (including weekends) as business demands. Frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, or crawling throughout the day, reaching overhead. Lift and carry over 50 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs.
