Founded in 1947, Bailey Lumber & Supply offers a broad range of services and specialty building products to both professional builders and do-it-yourselfers, operating six locations, including truss and wall panel manufacturing facilities, in Mississippi.

The Yard/Warehouse Rep I is responsible for receiving, stocking, shipping, ordering, and counting inventory items. This entry‑level position requires the safe operation of a forklift to stock all lumber and building materials. Duties are performed within established work and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate safely.

Participate in a positive work environment.

Assist warehouse associates and the direct supervisor in maintaining an organized work environment.

Empty trash receptacles and keep all bays and staging areas clean and organized.

Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.

Provide excellent customer service.

Count and record receipt of materials.

Stock all material received in appropriate bins or storage locations.

Assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials.

Comply with all company policies and guidelines.

Operate forklift with foot and hand controls.

Use forklift to build outgoing orders or load completed orders onto delivery equipment.

Operate facility equipment as necessary (e.g., bander, power tools, various hand tools).

Monitor inventory as required by location management.

Maintain awareness of the work environment critical to the task to produce error‑free and damage‑free results.

Participate in and complete assigned trainings.

Other duties as assigned by Management.

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience Qualifications

No experience required.

Skills and Abilities

Basic math, reading orders, writing instructions, and completing forms.

Ability/willingness to learn to read a tape measure.

Effective and professional communication with customers, other employees, and supervisors using verbal and written skills.

Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.

Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g., smartphone, inventory control systems, and other necessary business applications).
