Equity Residential Maintenance Team Interview Day: Denver Join us for a hiring event at Theo Apartments 985 Albion St., Denver, CO 80220. Wednesday, January 7, 2026 – 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Parking is available in the garage at 11th St. & Colorado Blvd (entrance on 11th St.). Free parking on Levels 2 and 3, elevator to 1st floor—check in at the front desk.

We will be interviewing for the following positions:

Maintenance Technician ($21.89 – $26.75 per hour)

Multisite Maintenance Technician ($23.89 – $29.19 per hour)

Centralized Make‑Ready Maintenance Technician ($23.89 – $29.19 per hour)

Senior Maintenance Technician ($26.23 – $32.06 per hour)

Maintenance Manager ($34.47 – $42.13 per hour)

The starting pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, and qualifications.

Roles and Responsibilities Maintenance Technician Address resident service requests, perform diverse hands‑on maintenance tasks, ensure market‑ready apartments, conduct preventative maintenance, maintain grounds and common areas, and report concerns.

Multisite Maintenance Technician Under direction of the General Service Director or Service Manager, support maintenance at two or more Equity Residential apartment communities. Respond to resident service requests, complete make‑ready work, maintain common areas, deliver superior customer service, and exemplify professionalism.

Centralized Make‑Ready Maintenance Technician Perform make‑ready activities within a portfolio of communities: painting, repairs, carpet cleaning, ensuring standards are met.

Senior Maintenance Technician Similar responsibilities to the Maintenance Technician, with added duties of managing maintenance inventory and, in the absence of the Service Manager, assuming managerial responsibilities, overseeing service requests, and delegating tasks.

Maintenance Manager Partner with the Community and Property Manager to cultivate a high‑performing team, ensure adherence to Equity standards, analyze financial performance, assist with scheduled maintenance, and provide regular status reports.

What You'll Need to Thrive

Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle.

For Maintenance Technician: troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC (if applicable), interior repairs, and painting.

For Multisite Maintenance Technician: same as above; EPA Section 608 Type I, II or Universal certification preferred.

For Centralized Make‑Ready Maintenance Technician: same as above; certification preferred; may assist on‑site teams, on‑call service, snow removal; local travel required.

For Senior Maintenance Technician: EPA Section 608 certification required or to be obtained within 90 days; high school diploma or equivalent.

For Maintenance Manager: hands‑on maintenance in plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC; EPA certification required or to be obtained within 90 days.

Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws.

Computer literacy and effective communication skills; must communicate orally and in writing in English.

Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends and on‑call emergencies; must provide an after‑hours telephone number.

Physical ability to perform numerous activities requiring use of hands, arms, legs, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, sweeping, stooping, kneeling, shoveling, crouching, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Requirement to use own smartphone for certain job aspects; device must be password‑protected and comply with corporate security.
