Packaging Operator – First Shift at

Position Summary The packaging operator is responsible for set‑up, operation, routine maintenance and cleaning of Packaging Department equipment in accordance with cGMPs and SOPs. The role requires completing necessary training and possessing the required skills and competencies.
Shift Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Set up packaging equipment and machinery in preparation for the shift
Perform packaging department duties, including:
Dump bottles from box into bottle unscrambler daily
Dump powder bag or capsules/tablets bag into hopper daily
Dump closures into cap hopper daily
Weigh, push onto capper and seal bottles with Sealer machine
Take sealed bottles off line and ship
Palletize filled shippers and move to warehouse for shipment
Install and remove dose wheel for powder line daily with power lifter
Remove lower hopper from Perry Filler weekly
Ensure required routine paperwork is completed in accordance with cGMPs; complete log book entries; operate and clean efficiently
Perform major equipment cleans; ensure no foreign product remains on hoppers, heavy machinery or floors
Use computer to review SOPs and obtain training
Follow Teva’s Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned or required by business needs
Position Requirements Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements
Extended periods of standing, walking, pushing and pulling, stooping, crouching, climbing and walking; occasional lifting of equipment or materials weighing up to 40 pounds
Not allergic to cephalosporins, chemicals or biosubstances found in laboratory or production facilities
