We’re looking for a reliable and detail‑oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to keep our logistics running smoothly. In this hands‑on role, you’ll manage all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring everything arrives and departs accurately, on time, and in great condition. You’ll handle packaging, labeling, inspecting goods, and operating warehouse equipment, while maintaining a safe and organized work area. You’ll also support the packing team and step in as a backup delivery driver when needed. This entry‑level position offers strong growth potential for someone ready to build a career in logistics or warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including small packages and palletized freight.
Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and appropriate documentation.
Label and organize customer orders using purchase orders, job cards, or work order receivers.
Prepare products for shipment through proper packing and palletizing.
Schedule pickups and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely shipment of goods.
Communicate with shipping carriers to process and track outbound shipments.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
Assist the packing department with packaging tasks when needed.
Transport materials from receiving or staging areas to the production floor.
Maintain a clean, organized dock and general shipping/receiving area.
Report equipment malfunctions and shipping/receiving issues to the manager.
Serve as a backup delivery driver; maintain accurate vehicle logs when driving.
Collaborate with other departments to help meet shipping schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma.
Comprehensive MS Office skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
3 to 5 years of experience in a related field, preferably with shipping & receiving experience.
Proficiency in the use of a pallet jack, stacker, and forklift (training provided).
Excellent organizational skills.
Good driving record; ability to operate delivery vehicle.
Physical Demands Regularly required to sit and walk distances up to 100 meters between buildings outdoors. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Must have a good driving record.
