Location Fort Lauderdale Hotel – 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Opening in Fall 2025.

Key features: 801 guest rooms, 29 stories, 120,000+ sq ft of event space, restaurants, rooftop bar, pool, spa, fitness center.

The hotel will be connected directly to Broward County Convention Center and is adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal, less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.

Job Description Maintain daily operations of food, beverage, and general storerooms, ensuring accurate inventory control, proper storage, and timely distribution of goods. Provide exceptional customer service to culinary, banquet, and other departments, anticipating needs and responding promptly.

Responsibilities

Properly receive, store, and issue all food and beverage products under the guidance of the storeroom manager.

Inspect, unpack, and stock merchandise received.

Assist leadership in organizing the storeroom by sorting items as directed.

Price and date all groceries and canned goods, ensuring first‑in, first‑out rotation.

Adhere to operating hours of the storerooms.

Fill general storeroom requisitions and complete all requisition closures.

Maintain end‑of‑month inventories.

Ensure unauthorized persons are kept off premises and requisitions are properly authorized.

Inspect refrigeration units, record temperature logs, and report deviations.

Clean all storerooms regularly.

Follow Omni Hotels operating procedures and local health regulations.

Maintain a list of out‑of‑stocks and notify manager of dead stock items.

Inspect and lock all cooler and storeroom doors at end of day.

Ensure vendor quality and timeliness according to specifications.

Follow closing procedures, including securing doors, logging, and key tagging.

Qualifications

Experience in purchasing/receiving and/or previous hotel experience preferred.

Highly motivated self‑starter focused on quality, organization, cleanliness, and teamwork.

Able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment while executing delegated tasks.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Basic financial data and arithmetic skills.

Customer service orientation and friendly demeanor.

Problem‑solving ability and proactive in preventing issues.

Professional appearance, attitude, and performance.

Available for a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Environment & Position Analysis

Move, bend, lift, and carry objects up to 50 lbs without assistance and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Push, pull, and place objects up to 75 lbs without assistance.

Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during a shift.

Squat, bend, and reach overhead as required.

Perform repetitive motions, including extended use of telephone/computer.

Tools & Equipment

Desktop computer (Oracle, Birchstreet, Kronos, Microsoft Office), printer, telephone, copier, fax machine, scanner, walk‑in refrigerators, hand truck, and lift‑jack dolly.
