Dairy Farmers of America
Meadow Gold Dairy is looking for someone to drive truck or tractor at vehicle parking, yard or docking areas located in Boise and Garden City to move, position or park trucks and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving functions. Transport trucks and trailers for repairs, as necessary, according to policies and procedures and safety protocols. May also operate wash bay using all necessary equipment to clean tractors and trailers. Keep the yard neat and orderly.

$3,000 Sign-on Bonus
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs
Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area
Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading
Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers
Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log
Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area
Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean
Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location
Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed
Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries
Attend all driver workshops and training sessions

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Tractor/trailer experience, within the last five years preferred
Must meet minimum age requirements
Meet all DOT requirements
Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements
Certification and/or License - Current CDL (Class A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement if needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of DOT transportation regulations related to lawful operation
Able to work safely and recognize sudden hazards and adjust accordingly
Able to use computers and technology needed for the job
Skills with math sufficient to calculate load size
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills)
Able to be proactive in seeking solutions, taking appropriate steps for problem-solving
Able to work in collaboration effectively and foster good teamwork
Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
Able to interpret and apply company policies
Able to adapt and manage to change effectively
Able to perform task and duties with limited supervision
Able to follow through on day-to-day responsibilities
Able to be punctual
Must be able to read, write and speak English
