Overview
Old Trail Golf Club is a privately owned championship caliber public golf club located in Crozet, Virginia and features an 18-hole Player's Course, full practice facilities and full-service Clubhouse, and indoor golf simulator lab. Nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains and just a few miles west of Charlottesville, Old Trail Golf Club is the centerpiece of the spectacular Old Trail Village community. We are located 15 minutes outside of Charlottesville, VA.
Responsibilities include providing a positive experience to all member and daily fee golf customers treating each and every customer with a kind, diplomatic and professional demeanor; administrating point of sales activities towards all member and daily fee golfers; providing attentive customer relations toward merchandise sales and indoor golf activities; and offering hospitality type of customer service for social engagements throughout the Old Trail Club.
Experience Required Key Responsibilities are:
Assisting with point of sales activity for green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing.
Reconciles daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and coordinates with on the course activities to ensure full customer satisfaction.
Promotes all club golf activities with social engagement and fostering positive player experience.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop. Assists retail buyer with procurement and merchandise and shop assistants with merchandising and sales.
Prepares for golf outings with Tournament and Recreation Director to include creating a fun and inviting atmosphere, coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments.
Coordinate with outside staff to ensure a prompt, clean and well-kept course experience.
Assist with Course management and ensure proper pace of play etiquette, while maintaining a positive experience for all customers.
Coordinate demo and rental programs with vendors and customers.
Assist in managing monthly inventory process and end of month inventory reporting. Direct a team of outside service staff to achieve a goal of seamless member services
Assist with scheduling and training of outside operations staff to meet management expectations
Develop, enforce and maintain policies and procedures for outside operations staff
Oversee and manage opening and closing shifts to ensure the high expectations of esthetics and service are met daily
Oversee supplies and maintenance of equipment for the outside operation to ensure par levels and their life span
Essential Responsibilities Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
Experience in use of Microsoft Office Suites
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and sales skills
Self-motivated with desire to promote and market
Ability to communicate in high intensity work environments
High aptitude for attention to detail
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
Desire to grow and mature with in the golf industry
College graduates preferred
PGA Member in good standing preferred
Benefits Responsibilities specific to Teaching & Junior Golf:
Assist with growing the Junior Golf Program through use of clinics, lesson programs, indoor simulator leagues, junior camps, PGA Junior League and tournaments
Upon successful certification by our professional staff, provide lessons (potential to earn shared lesson fee) to individuals, juniors, groups and corporate clients.
