Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage: $18–$21, depending on experience and schedule.
Benefits include 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance.
Schedule Must work weekends: Saturday 2 pm–7 pm; Sunday 9 am–5 pm.
Responsibilities
Assist in the development and implementation of an innovative daily program for residents.
Lead one‑on‑ones, small and large group activities according to the programming schedule.
Encourage and direct independent activity pursuits individually and in groups.
Support residents by recognizing the role of activity in overall care.
Apply knowledge of residents’ backgrounds, participation needs, physical abilities, interests, and cognitive capacities.
Communicate changes in residents’ condition or behavior to the Life Enrichment Director.
Plan, organize, and implement all residence activities.
Suggest ideas for improving and expanding the Activities Program.
Maintain a professional, warm, and caring relationship with residents and families.
Coordinate transportation and escorts for residents to outside and community activities.
Assist with the monthly newsletter and/or weekly calendar.
Attend required ongoing training sessions and orientation.
Drive residents in van as needed.
Perform dual tasks and work independently.
Qualifications
High school diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues preferred.
Maintain confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community.
Demonstrate the ability to relate to and support elderly residents in a positive, efficient manner.
Show consistent ability to coordinate multiple tasks, maintain a positive attitude, and work well under pressure.
