Position Summary With guidance and direction, the Client Manager leads client service activities listed below.
The role includes delivering renewal messaging to clients, overseeing standard process steps, and handling auto‑renewals.
While other responsibilities may also be performed, the majority of the day‑to‑day work is spent in the primary activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Evaluates exposures and renewal quote
Reviews upcoming renewals and determines which accounts warrant remarket
Makes coverage recommendations
Utilizes comparative rater tool to obtain quotes
Transacts agency billing (where applicable)
Obtains signed binding and notifies carriers
Reviews binding documents for accuracy
Other Responsibilities, As Applicable
Sets up and maintains accurate account details, contacts, and policy information in EPIC
Processes renewals, endorsements, acknowledgments, cancellations, and proofs of insurance
Attaches, organizes, and names documents in EPIC
Initiates endorsements, proofs of insurance and invoices
Leverages templates and system‑generated letters and forms to produce standard communications to clients and carriers, including BOR, client pre‑renewal letters, proposal letters, change requests, etc.
Creates activities in EPIC and assigns them to applicable team members
May be responsible for pulling items such as MVR, CLUES, Risk Meters, RCE, etc.
Work Experience
3+ years’ experience in Personal Property and Casualty with a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverages
Professional Licenses & Certifications
Must hold a state Property & Casualty insurance license
Essential Skills & Competencies
Functional knowledge of Excel for creating, formatting, and evaluating formulas and working within templates; proficiency in MS Office (Word, etc.)
Maintains effective relationships with clients, co‑workers, and colleagues; viewed as a team player and collaborator
Obtains firsthand customer information and uses it for improvements in placements and services
Has an understanding of guaranteed cost program design and coverage forms; can provide consultation of coverage needs
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; sets day‑to‑day objectives within specified solutions; develops and implements work plans for projects
Consistently performs quality work, understands urgency in tasks, and meets timelines
Proficient in self‑serve portals and manages client training and utilization
Follows well‑established sets of activities
Can solve difficult, non‑routine problems without excessive complexity
Works efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail
Education
HS Diploma or equivalent
Physical Demands & Working Conditions Office work involving desk use most of the time, stand‑up/sit‑down adjustable desks.
May require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion are typically required daily; walking and standing are required occasionally.
