Busser – Dining Room
Under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager, a Busser interacts with residents and employees of Front Porch residential facilities, ensuring they have a great dining experience. The Busser is responsible for positive guest interactions while serving in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, the Busser is expected to be attentive to guests’ needs and make them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Basic food knowledge is required to perform the duties outlined below.
Support servers by delivering water, bread, condiments, tableware and other items as needed.
Clear, reset and sanitize tables promptly and according to company service standards.
Set up a bus station with a cart, bus tubs, glass racks and a bucket for liquid disposal.
Pick up dirty napkins and empty bussing tubs; bring dirty plates, silverware and glassware to the dishwasher area.
Maintain proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling guest needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils and refilling glasses.
Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the Dining Room Manager or Supervisor.
Communicate any resident concerns, mobility needs or special requests to staff immediately.
Support special events and themed dinners as scheduled.
Perform closing duties, including breakdown, restocking and ensuring the dining rooms are left clean and organized for the next service.
Assist with stocking side stations (tableware, napkins, glassware, etc.) to ensure readiness for service.
Help servers run food from the kitchen to the main dining area during busy periods.
Follow the highest standards of cleanliness and all federal, state and corporate policies, health codes and guidelines in the preparation and handling of foodstuffs.
Perform all duties safely and efficiently, wear required safety equipment and report any safety hazards or accidents to the Dining Room Manager or Supervisor.

Education & Experience Requirements
Some high school education or GED.
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred; senior‑living or healthcare dining experience is a plus.
Compensation will depend on a range of factors including the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, training, education and licensure/certifications (where applicable).
