Education & Experience High School diploma or GED; five years related experience in cooking, or equivalent combination. Associate degree in culinary arts preferred.
Language Skills Ability to read and interpret recipes, safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply in culinary weights and measurements.
Reasoning Ability Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions; solve problems in standardized situations; use basic computer functions.
Certificates & Licenses ServSafe/HACCP Certified within one year of employment.
Physical Demands Stand; walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach/lift; push/pull; climb; stoop, crouch; talk, hear, taste, and smell. Regularly lift or move up to 30 pounds. Vision: close, distance, color, depth, adjust focus.
Work Environment Wet, humid, hot or cold; moving mechanical parts; exposure to fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals; moderate to loud noise. Understand safety data sheets and New York State Health Codes.
Academic Schedule Saturday 11:00 am – 7:30 pm Sunday 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm Monday 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm Tuesday 10:00 am – 6:30 pm Wednesday 10:00 am – 6:30 pm Thursday – off Friday – off
Pay Rate $24.53 per hour
