Who We Are Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides outpatient recovery support services for individuals with substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare.

Responsibilities

Screen, assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans to help clients on their path to recovery.

Participate in treatment team conferences and collaborate with other professionals, family members, and referral sources.

Research, locate, and act as a liaison between available help outlets based on clients’ needs, offering both in‑house and external referrals.

Follow up on the services clients are referred to, ensuring their participation and program compliance.

Maintain flexible hours to meet the needs of our clients and agency.

Conduct initial and follow‑up assessments.

Prepare individual treatment plans for each assigned patient.

Ensure all documentation regarding patient care, treatment, and incidents is completed in a timely and clear manner.

Retrieve clients’ past medical history, treatment, and/or psychological records prior to initial appointment.

Create and implement plans for aftercare for assigned patients.

Act as a liaison with insurance carriers, as requested.

Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are needed.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in a mental health setting as a Fully Licensed MSW, LPC, or an equivalent combination of experience and education such as an LMSW.

LMSW or LPC License in the State of Michigan.

Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) Certificate, or MCBAP CAADC Development Plan (required for providing Substance Use Disorder Services).

A valid and unrestricted State of Michigan Driver’s License and insurance.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Proficiency with EMR systems is a plus.

Compensation Base pay range: $65,000.00/year – $70,000.00/year. This salaried‑exempt position is funded through grant funding; compensation is based on grant budget and employee skills and experience.
