The City of Hesston, population 3500, is seeking applicants to fill an anticipated opening for Police Officer in early 2026. Hesston is in central Kansas, in Harvey County. We are looking for the right individual to join our team of professional, dedicated and trustworthy Police Officers serving our community.
What We Offer:
Competitive Wage: $26.11 to $35.21 per hour
KPERS Retirement
90% City paid Health, Dental and Vision Insurance
City Funded Deferred Comp plan (457b) with employee contribution
84-hour biweekly (Panama) work schedule
0600 to 1800 & 1800 to 0600
Rotating Quarterly

Requirements:
21 years of age
US Citizen
High School Diploma
Valid Kansas Driver’s License
No Moving Violations in past 3 years
KLETC Certified preferred but not required - We will train the right candidate
Ability to pass a background investigation, psychological evaluation, drug screening and polygraph examination.
