About the role The primary purpose of this role is to maximise product sales and brand visibility within the Bunnings store network across the state, along with engagement with Independent Hardware stores where required. This includes building strong relationships with all stakeholders including store department teams and store management, executing effective merchandising strategies, driving promotional and impulse sales and delivering product training to ensure optimal presentation and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

Achieve sales and market share growth objectives within Bunnings stores throughout the assigned region

Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders

Planning and execution of an effective call cycle in line with Bunnings VIS requirements

Execution of effective merchandising with assigned stores, including promotional lines and key product off locations

Monitor competitor activity weekly

Participation in sales activations, conferences, trade shows, field days as required

Deliver Product Training to Bunnings Team Members regularly

Attend new store setups, relays and refits as required

Assist in servicing and visitation of Independent Hardware stores including new store setups and relays within assigned region

Compilation of regular reports on activity and region performance plus CRM updating and utilisation

Work collaboratively with other key departments including Customer Service, Accounts and Warehousing

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year B2B sales and/or merchandising experience with demonstrated success, ideally within a Retail or Hardware environment

Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual, and critical-thinking skills

Prioritises workload, meets deadlines and manages competing priorities under pressure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Adaptability and strong positive work ethic

You will bring the highest level of personal integrity and ethics

Ability to work autonomously

Team player and ability to collaborate effectively across various departments within the company

Knowledge and utilisation of CRM systems

Driver's licence, own vehicle and ability to travel intra-state where required (MV Allowance)
