Position Summary The Grocery Clerk maintains an enthusiastic, customer‑aware environment and delivers fast, friendly service. Duties are performed primarily in the Grocery department and back room. The role may involve exposure to various temperature changes, walking, standing, lifting, moving, carrying, stocking product, and interacting with customers, associates, truck drivers, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Cashiers – Provide great customer service, greet customers, respond to questions, and handle money.
Night Stock Crew – Ensure product is rotated, within date, and properly displayed on shelves according to category.
Daytime Stock Crew – Work in Produce, Deli, Frozen, Meat, and Grocery departments.
Unload product from trucks, organize the stock room, fill assigned areas on the sales floor, and operate back‑room equipment such as pallet jack and baler.
Maintenance Clerk – Clean cases and shelves, mop and sweep sales floor or stock room, clean dairy coolers, bathrooms, and break room.
Operate back‑room equipment, pallet jack, baler, compactor, and scrub machine.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $19.50 per hour.
Medical, dental, vision, and additional benefits.
Final compensation depends on experience and skills and may vary by location.
Qualifications & Requirements
Deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
Read, write, and perform simple math tasks.
Interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
Must belong to the union.
Pass background and drug screening.
Accept flexible schedule.
Work well with others as a team member.
Previous experience in grocery or retail environments.
Passion for serving people.
