What You’ll Do
Be passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of young children and help build resiliency skills in order to help prepare them for life's adversity.
Design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards and IEP goals.
Develop and maintain IEPs, behavior plans, and progress reports.
Assess student learning and adjust instruction based on data.
Collaborate with families, staff, and service providers to support student success.
Direct and support educational assistants in classroom activities.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with deadlines and testing requirements.
What You’ll Bring
Valid State Board of Education of Ohio intervention specialist license (PK-5 or K-12) and compliance with the Licensure Code of Professional Conduct.
Experience with children who have experienced trauma is preferred.
Ability to physically support students with disabilities.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Commitment to supporting student engagement, accountability, and development.
Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
