Position Summary The Police Officer performs a complete range of law enforcement services for the ECU Police Department. Duties include patrols, criminal apprehension, preliminary and follow-up investigations, traffic enforcement, and other tasks that aid in securing the hospital campus. This position is primarily assigned to report and work at ECU Health Bertie, but may be assigned to other regions as needed.
Minimum Requirements
High School plus 1 - 2 years of formal education/experience is required or higher.
Basic Law Enforcement Training is required.
Law Enforcement certification by the State of North Carolina.
Must maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license.
Minimum age of 20 years is required.
Selected applicants must pass a complete medical examination, psychological testing, and Police applicant background investigation.
Other Information
40 hours per week
Monday - Friday (5:45 pm - 5:45 am)
Required to work rotational weekends and rotational holidays
