Custom Truck Equipment is looking to fill a Parts Counter position.
Responsibilities Key aspects of a parts counter include:
Customer Service: Parts counter personnel interact directly with customers, whether they are individuals seeking parts for personal vehicles or professionals requiring components for commercial purposes. Excellent customer service skills, including effective communication and problem-solving, are essential to assist customers in finding the right parts.
Parts Identification: Counter staff need to be knowledgeable about different types of parts, their specifications, and compatibility with various makes and models of vehicles or equipment. They often use parts catalogs, computer systems, and databases to identify and locate the correct parts.
Order Processing: When customers request specific parts that are not readily available in stock, parts counter personnel help place orders with suppliers or manufacturers. They track the order\'s progress and provide customers with updates on delivery times.
Inventory Management: Maintaining an organized and up-to-date inventory of parts is crucial to ensure that parts are readily available when needed. Parts counter personnel monitor stock levels, reorder parts as necessary, and manage returns or exchanges.
Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of the products being sold is important, as parts counter staff may need to provide technical advice and guidance to customers who require assistance in selecting the appropriate parts.
Problem Resolution: Sometimes customers may encounter challenges while installing or using parts. Parts counter staff may need to assist in troubleshooting issues, providing advice on installation, and ensuring that customers have a positive experience with the parts they purchase.
Documentation: Accurate record-keeping is vital for tracking sales, inventory levels, and customer orders. This information helps with restocking, analyzing sales trends, and providing data for financial reporting.
Collaboration: Parts counter personnel often collaborate closely with other departments within an organization, such as service departments, sales teams, and management, to ensure a smooth flow of parts and information.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Participate in all available training programs.
Pay Pay: depending on experience.
