A loving Fort Lauderdale family is seeking an experienced, French-speaking nanny to join their bustling household of three active children (ages 6, 4.5, and 2.5). The older two attend school during the day, while the youngest keeps everyone smiling at home. Their ideal nanny is gentle, kind, polished, and takes pride in helping a home run smoothly while creating a nurturing environment for the children to thrive.
This is a long-term position with a family who values trust, reliability, and open communication. The home has an informal, easygoing atmosphere but the family does appreciate discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Provide loving, attentive care to three children (toddler through early elementary)
Engage in age-appropriate play, learning, and creative activities
Encourage language development through conversation and play in proper French
Homework help as needed
Drive children to school, activities, and appointments (a personal vehicle is required or comfortable with driving a golf cart)
Pool supervision
Help with light meal and snack prep
Household Management: Tidying play areas, organizing projects, package/mail handling, assistance with laundry (full family–folding only, no washing or drying; parents left on their bed, put away children's laundry), errands as needed
Travel: Not required but someone open and flexible to travel if requested
Collaborate with the housekeeper (Tuesdays & Fridays)
Maintain clear communication with parents
Typical Schedule
Monday: 8 AM – 7:30 PM
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: 8 AM – 7:30 PM
Thursday: 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Friday: 10 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekend flexibility **** is appreciated, would know in advance if needed
The Ideal Candidate The right nanny will be:
Fluent in French required (native or near-native level — France or Canada)
Speak in French to children and Mom at all times required
Must be local to Fort Lauderdale or within a 15-30 minute commute
Naturally warm, calm, and grounded
A confident communicator who works well as part of a household team and comfortable having parents in the home while working
Proactive, organized, and mindful of maintaining a tidy, structured environment
Comfortable with cameras in the home and respectful of household preferences (no outdoor shoes inside)
Adaptable — able to follow routines while staying flexible as family needs evolve
Experienced in caring for multiple young children with creativity and patience
Loves the water and is comfortable supervising and swimming alongside the children
A safe driver with a reliable vehicle (or comfortable using a golf cart as needed)
Comfortable undergoing background checks, DMV screening, drug testing, and signing an NDA
Pediatric First Aid/CPR certified
